What are Candle Freak candles made from?

Our candles are hand made with All Seasons Deluxe natural soy wax and are white in colour (no artificial dyes or additives)

They are mixed with high quality fragrance oils (all Phthalate free) to give a lovely clean, long burning candle. We use natural cotton wicks with a paper core.

Where are Candle Freak candles made?

All of our candles, melts and diffusers are made by us here in Christchurch, NZ.

How can I try your fragrances?

Late in 2020 we started selling our tester tealight packs, these are $12 and come in a pack of 6, where you can choose the 6 fragrances that you'd like to try before committing to a larger candle - great huh!

We also attend the odd markets around the Canterbury region, so please feel free to stop by and say hello and try out ALL the fragrances!

I warn you, it can be quite overwhelming (but I like to think there is something for everyone) 

Or please get in touch to make an appointment to visit our base in Parklands, Christchurch where you can also try out the full range.

There is absolutely no pressure for a purchase of course. I totally understand how hard it is to choose a fragrance based on an online description.

What happens once I've placed my order?

You will receive a confirmation email to confirm your order. Please double check this confirmation email, including your delivery address. If anything needs changing please get in touch asap.

If you don't receive a confirmation email, please double check your junk mail and if it's still not there, get in touch asap.

Once payment has been received, your order will be processed. Generally we need around 5-7 business days to make your candles, especially if there are any luxury candles (all custom made) in your order.


How do I receive my order?

Once your order is complete you will receive a confirmation email either with your tracking information for shipped orders , or to let you know that your order is available to collect from our base in Parklands, Christchurch. Please keep an eye on your email inbox and junk mail as all order notifications are done via. email.

When arranging collection, please give us at least 12 hours notice of your intended collection time/day.

​Delivery is by tracked courier and can take 1- 3 working days to arrive at your door. Please allow slightly longer for rural delivery.

If your order doesn't arrive or is lost, please contact the courier company in the first instance. Please also let us know as soon as possible, including a query reference number from the courier company so that we can lodge a query from our end as well.

Unfortunately, we do not offer international shipping at this stage.

How much is Shipping?

We have 4 courier options for shipping at checkout, and fees are based on the value of your order.

- NZ wide (non signature)  /  $7.50 for orders up to $50.00  /  $10.00 for orders $51.00 - $120.00

- NZ wide (signature)  /  $8.50 for orders up to $50.00  /  $12.00 for orders $51.00 - $120.00
- Local Christchurch Area (non signature)  /  $5.50 for orders up to $50.00  /  $7.50 for orders $51.00 - $120.00

- Local Christchurch Area (signature)  /  $6.50 for orders up to $50.00  /  $8.50 for orders $51.00 - $120.00


The ‘Local Christchurch Area’ is an approx zone ranging from Rangiora to Rolleston, Lincoln etc. but please note that this EXCLUDES ALL RURAL DELIVERY addresses.

We have Free Shipping on orders $120.00 or larger, regardless of where you are in NZ.

Do you offer Collection?

We offer free collection from our base in Parklands, Christchurch.

You will receive an email to let you know that your products are ready to collect. Please get back in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - please give us at least 12 hours notice of your intended collection time/day.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our website, as well as Paypal transactions.

Can I refill my jars?


Please refer to our Candle Refill Information page HERE - this includes a step-by-step guide to cleaning your jars and all the refill information you need.

What is your return policy?

Rest assured! We want you to be happy with your purchase!

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase we can happily exchange it, if the candle is in saleable condition. 

Please get in touch with us within 30 days of purchase to let us know that you intend to return, and simply pop it back on the courier back to us. It will be your responsibility to cover the postage fees for returns.

Where else can I buy Candle Freak products?

We have an awesome range of stockists around the South Island, NZ, where you can pop it and purchase our hanging diffusers. These are one of our most popular products and our stockists and their clients LOVE them!

At this time, we are only providing stockists with Hanging Diffusers and Refill bottles. Candles & Melts can be purchased direct through us.

Each stockist has carefully selected their range so I recommend contacting them direct to see what goodies they have in stock.
